- Crosstalk America with Jim Schneider, December 7th, 2015
This edition of Crosstalk was a memorial as Jim looked back at some of the highlights of the life and ministry of Vic Eliason, the founder, vice president and executive director of VCY America, who passed into glory this past Saturday, December 5th at the age of 79.
Jim’s historical references stretch back throughout all 56 years that Vic was a part of this life changing ministry. There was mention of the humble beginnings of VCY as a Youth for Christ project in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, in the early 1960’s, the birth of Crosstalk, the camping ministry, the birthday club that ministers to children around the world and more including an audio clip of Vic’s final ‘on air’ words to listeners.
The bulk of the program features listeners as they share their thoughts of loving gratitude and remembrance as well as thanks to the Lord for what he accomplished through the life of Vic Eliason.
- Wisconsin Family Council’s Julaine Appling: Eliason had enormous impact on Christian Media
WVCY-TV came on the air in 1983 thanks to the ministry of Vic Eliason. This weekend Vic was called to the Lord. I personally want to thank all those involved in the operation of the VCY network over the years. We cannot measure the impact it has had in this world, but I know for a fact that it has changed my life.
